1. Index

2. Crawl
The process of looking for new or updated web pages. Search engines discovers URLs by following links, by reading sitemaps, and by many other means. Search engines crawls the web, looking for new pages, then indexes them (when appropriate).
3. Crawler
Automated software that crawls (fetches) pages from the web and indexes them.
4. Googlebot/Search Engine bots
The generic name of Google’s crawler. Googlebot crawls the web constantly.
5. SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
Search engine optimisation; the process of making your site better for search engines. Also the job title of a person who does this for a living: You can hire us to perform SEO to improve your presence on the web.
